After the initial installation, you may find that you need to adjust the placement of your shelves and rods to accommodate your wardrobe.
Most of your shelves sit on metal pins and can be easily moved by lifting the shelf off the pins, and moving the pins to a higher or lower hole as needed. The pins are simply pulled straight out and moved to another hole. (If the pins are tight, they can be wiggled loose with a pair of pliers). The shelf will then sit on the new pin position.
Throughout your system, you will find that some of the shelves are fixed into place with a plastic cam. These “fixed” shelves add stability to the units. These shelves are also movable with the use of a #2 phillips screwdriver. To move your fixed shelf, locate the 4 plastic cam locks on the bottom of each shelf. Each cam lock contains a screw positioned at an angle. Using the screwdriver, turn each cam lock screw counter clockwise to disconnect the shelf from the steel dowels (see diagram below). Lift upwards on the shelf to remove it. You may have to push upwards underneath the shelf to lift it over the steel dowels. Carefully remove the steel dowels using the screwdriver. Move the steel dowels to the desired location. Place the shelf over the dowels, push down, and reconnect by turning the cam lock screws clockwise. Your shelf is now locked into place. To move the rods, simply place your hand underneath the rod and lift up. If the rod seems tight, just a quick bump of your hand underneath should help lift the rod. Then pull the rod cups straight out. You may need to grab it with a pair of pliers if it is a very tight fit. Reinsert the rod cups into the desired location and place the rod back into the cups.
